The Bar is the quintessential neighborhood hangout. The owner, a lawyer by day, decided he wanted to open a neighborhood bar where great drinks, local eats and good people come together. A Michigan native and Lebowski fan, he created the bar to have a quaint, wholesome, non-corporate vibe.
The Bar appeals to an almost impossibly wide demographic, and their logo needed to do the same. Clean lines and pairings with Gotham Bold and Baskerville for their menu creates a gender-neutral, age-neutral brand. The ornamental lines pay homage to a bowling lane meant as the proverbial "nod" to The Big Lebowski, a central theme to The Bar.
